Wow...don't you think this is a bit much? It was the fault of the company who was supposed protecting the gulf, not BP anyway...

I wrote a literature piece about a girl who spent her summers and the beach and unknowingly befriended the spirit of the ocean, only to lose him to the oil spill. I don't know if you accept such things in your group, but it would mean a lot to me if you would give it a read. <3 [link]

As most of you know, I'm currently in a contest to go to Antarctica with Julie Scardina, the curator of animal training at sea world here in san diego. I need to stay in the top 5 until august 31, and I'm currently in 6th and down by over 100 votes. I'm asking for your help in the form of votes, because winning this contest would be such a huge deal for me. You see, I want to be an orca trainer at sea world in san diego, and I feel that knowing Julie would be such a good thing for me. Also, going to Antarctica would be such a great experience for me, not only because Julie is going, but also because i'd get to see so many animals I'd be working with (penguins, orcas, whales, etc) in their natural habitat, which everyone knows is one of the best ways to learn about these animals. So please, please, if you have time, vote for me and pass it on to other people? Hey everyone! I just wanted to tell you that I am currently in Florida, and I am studying the oil spill. I have some awesome pictures of the dried up oil and tar balls that wash up on shore, but BP is actually doing a really good job cleaning it up. Yes, BP has def. caused a lot of issues and stuff, but it has only been a few months and most of the oil is cleaned up. They work around the clock around toxic oil to help clean up the problem. Trust me I wanted to come down to Florida and slap some BP workers but then I saw the progress and had to give them props for the good work they are doing. I just think that hating them is a little extreme. I just wanted to share that info with you all. thank you for reading
